  • The event will be conducted as a solo traditional Silambattam performance.
  • Participants must demonstrate technique, weapon control, rhythm, stance, and
    creativity.
  • No physical contact or unsafe actions are allowed during the routine.
  • Participants must maintain discipline and sportsmanship throughout the event.
  • Any form of misconduct or disrespect towards
  • judges or others will lead tobdisqualification.
  • Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.

Rules :

  • The ball must be served from behind the end line and can be underhand or overhand
  • A team can touch the ball a maximum of three times before sending it over the net
  • The same player cannot hit the ball consecutively unless blocking
  • A point is scored when the ball lands on the opponent’s court or if the opponent commits a fault
  • The game is played to 25 points, with a team needing a 2-point lead to win
  • Rotations must occur in a clockwise direction after winning a serve
  • Physical contact with the net by a player is considered a fault
  • Teams consist of 6 players on the court, with up to 6 substitutes allowed
  • Libero player allowed as per standard rules( wears a different jersey, no attacking above net)

LONG JUMP

  • Athletes must take off from the designated take-off board. Stepping beyond it results in a foul
  • The jump distance is measured from the edge of the take-off board nearest to the landing point
  • The landing must be within the designated sandpit area
  • Athletes must not walk back through the sandpit after completing a jump
  • A maximum of three to six attempts is allowed per athlete, depending on the competition
  • Wind assistance must not exceed 2 meters/second for the jump to be valid for records
  • Athletes are required to complete their jump within 30 seconds of their turn being called
  • Proper footwear is mandatory; spikes are permitted but regulated
  • The longest valid jump is recorded as the final score

Team Composition:

Rules (Based on Official YUF Rules):

  • The game is played on a rectangular field with 8 players per side
  • The game consists of two innings with each team having a chance to chase and defend
  • The chasing team must attempt to tag the opponent by touching them while running in a circle

  • Players can tag opponents while running, but the chaser must remain within the confines of the field boundary
  • A team can score by tagging members of the opposing team, reducing their number of active players
  • When tagged, players must leave the field, and the game continues

Rules

Rules and Regulations:

Match Format

  • Each match will consist of 6 overs per side.
  • Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 2 overs.
  • Powerplay: First 2 overs – only 2 fielders areballowed outside the 30-yard circle.

Equipment and Attire

  • Teams must bring their own bats, pads, gloves, helmets, and balls.
  • All players must wear a proper sports uniform.
  • Protective gear (helmet, abdominal guard, etc.) is mandatory for batters and wicketkeepers.

Rules of Play

  • Standard MCC cricket laws apply with minor modifications for the Super Six format.
  • No-ball will be called for overstepping or any full-toss above waist height.
  • Wide balls and no-balls will result in 1 extra run and an extra delivery.
  • Underarm bowling is strictly not allowed.
  • Fielders must not obstruct the batters; any such act will result in penalty runs.

Umpiring & Scoring

  • Matches will be officiated by qualified umpires appointed by the organizers.
  • Scoring will be done digitally or through official score sheets.
  • In case of a tie, a Super Over will decide the winner (Senior category only).

Conduct and Discipline

  • Sledging, arguing with umpires, or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in warnings or

High Jump

Rules and Regulations:

  • The starting height will be decided by the event jury based on participant level and safety.
  • The bar is raised in predefined increments after every round.

A jump is valid only when the athlete:

  • Takes off from one foot only.
  • Clears the bar without knocking it down.
  • Lands within the designated landing area (usually a cushioned mat). Foul/Invalid Jump:If the athlete:
  • Knocks down the bar.
  • Fails to jump within 1 minute of being called.
  • Touches the ground beyond the takeoff line without attempting a jump.
  • Deliberately displaces the bar or interferes with another athlete’s attempt.

Equipment and attire:

  • Standard school PE uniform or athletic wear is mandatory.
  • Spiked shoes are optional but must comply with school guidelines. The bar and uprights will meet standard school-level event regulations.
  • The athlete with the highest successful jump is declared the winner.
  • In case of a tie, the winner is determined by: Fewest attempts at the last cleared height. Fewest total failures throughout the competition. If still tied, a jump-off may be conducted.

Performance Rules:

  • Each participant must perform a minimum of 5 asanas, including:
  • One forward bending
  • One backward bending
  • One balancing
  • One twisting
    One relaxation or pranayama (optional)
  • Transitions between asanas must be smooth and controlled
  • Each asana must be held for at least 10 seconds for evaluation

Disqualification Criteria:

  • Exceeding the time limit
  • Performing prohibited or dangerous postures
  • Failing to maintain proper discipline or disrupting others
  • Receiving any physical assistance during the performance

Safety Instructions:

  • Participants must warm up before the event
  • Medical clearance is required if the participant has any history of injury
  • Judges’ decision will be final and binding

format on the spot based on time and event conditions.
